02.20.2026 | 8:58 PM | SANTA ANA – One man was killed and another was injured following a double shooting, Friday night.
The shooting occurred near the intersection of East Borchard Avenue and South Kilson Drive when two men inside a vehicle were shot by an unknown assailant around 8:58 PM.
Following the shooting, one of the men, a 22-year-old, collapsed in the street while the other man, a 20-year-old, fled in a vehicle to the 1400 block of South Minnie Street.
One crew of medics responded to the 22-year-old victim and pronounced him deceased on scene while the 20-year-old was treated by a different team of medics and later rushed to an area hospital in stable condition.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation. At least one person who was initially detained in connection with the deadly shooting was later released.
