Santa Ana: One Dead, Another Injured In Ejection Crash

07.31.2025 | 10:40 PM | SANTA ANA – A single-vehicle crash into a wall resulted in an ejection that killed one man and injured another, Thursday night.

The collision was reported near the intersection of West Segerstrom Avenue and Bear Street around 10:40 PM when a pickup truck collided with a cinder block wall.

When units arrived they found the pickup truck with major damage in the roadway and an occupant that had been ejected into the roadway.

Medics treated both occupants on scene before rushing them to a nearby trauma center.

Despite the efforts of first responders, the truck’s passenger, a 47-year-old resident of Fountain Valley who has yet to be identified, succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced deceased.

The driver of the pickup truck was reported to be in stable condition and was cooperating with law enforcement.

Preliminary investigation indicates the pickup truck was traveling westbound on Segerstrom Avenue from Bear Street at high-speeds when it veered off the roadway into a wall.

Impairment was not immediately believed to be a factor in the collision.
