Santa Ana: Motorcyclist Loses Control, Crashes During Apparent Race

10.19.2024 | 12:03 AM | SANTA ANA – A motorcyclist that was reportedly racing another vehicle crashed and sustained major injuries, early Saturday morning.

The collision was reported on the southbound I-5 Freeway just north of Main Street when callers say a motorcycle racing another vehicle at high-speeds lost control and collided into a cement barrier around 12:03 AM.

When authorities arrived they located a motorcycle down and discovered the motorcyclist had been ejected from his motorcycle into a construction area.

Medics treated the rider on scene before rushing him to a nearby hospital with major injuries to his leg.

The other vehicle that was reportedly racing the motorcyclist continued on and was not immediately located.
