Santa Ana: Massive 3-Alarm Fire Rips Through Commercial Building

03.26.2023 | 8:01 PM | SANTA ANA – A massive 3-alarm fire in a commercial building burned for at least an hour while exposing potentially hazardous chemicals, Sunday night.

The fire was reported at Anodyne, an aerospace metal finishing company located in the 2200 block of South Susan Street, around 8:01 PM.

Crews responding to the scene discovered a large column of smoke from the building and requested additional units.

At the scene firefighters found a single story commercial building with heavy smoke and fire shooting through the roof.

Firefighters spent roughly one hour and 10 minutes battling the massive blaze while mitigating risks associated with hazardous materials stored inside the building.

Several downed power lines posed hazards to fire operations but no injuries were reported.

Investigators are on scene working to determine the cause of the massive blaze.
