Santa Ana: Man & Vehicle Struck By Gunfire

03.26.2022 | 8:30 PM | SANTA ANA – A man was injured and a vehicle damaged after a shooting, Saturday night.

The shooting was reported in the 1800 block of North Spurgeon Street, near West 17th Street, around 8:30 PM.

When units arrived on scene they located an adult male suffering from an gunshot wound to his leg along with evidence of a shooting.

Firefighter paramedics rushed the victim to a nearby hospital in unknown condition.

A vehicle parked near where the victim was found had sustained damage from the gunfire.

Numerous spent cartridge casings from the gunfire could be seen in video littered along the street.

It was unclear what prompted the shooting and no suspect description was immediately released.
