Santa Ana: Man Sustains Severe Burns In Garage Fire

03.15.2025 | 2:14 AM | SANTA ANA – A detached garage erupted in flames leaving one man with severe burns, early Saturday morning.

The fire was reported in a detached garage behind a home in the 800 block of South Flower Street around 2:14 AM.

When authorities arrived they found heavy fire showing from the garage and learned that one person was inside. Officers forced open a door allowing the occupant to exit the garage but not before he sustained severe burns all over his body.

Firefighters spent about 15 minutes dousing the blaze and preventing flames from spreading to nearby buildings.

Medics rushed the burn victim to a nearby trauma center where his condition was not immediately disclosed.

Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
