Santa Ana: Man Shot To Death Along River Trail

07.11.2025 | 12:03 AM | SANTA ANA – A 28-year-old man was found shot to death along a bike trail, early Friday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a man down on the Santa Ana Riverbed Trail, near the 2100 block of West 17th Street, around 12:03 AM.

When units arrived they found a man, later identified as 28-year-old Elvis Alfonso Mojica Delgado, down on the trail suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper torso.

Medics attempted to render aid but determined that Delgado has perished on scene.

A crime scene was established and homicide detectives responded to the scene in an effort to locate the person responsible for the shooting.
