03.05.2021 | 11:29 PM | SANTA ANA – An altercation reportedly lead to a shooting that left one person dead, late Friday night.
The incident unfolded near a home in the 1400 block of West Elder Avenue around 12:29 PM.
When officers arrived on scene they found an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Firefighter paramedics rushed the man to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
Initial reports indicate the victim was involved in an altercation with another subject just before the shooting broke out.
A description of the shooter was not immediately available and the identity of the decedent was withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.
