04.04.2026 | 12:48 AM | SANTA ANA – Two men were injured in a shooting that saw a group of potential suspects detained nearby, early Saturday morning.
Authorities responded to reports of gunfire in the 500 block of West 10th Street around 12:48 AM.
When units arrived they found a male adult suffering from a gunshot wound to his torso. Medics treated the man on scene before rushing him to an area hospital for treatment. Police say he is expected to survive.
A second man, suffering from a gunshot wound to his hand, arrived at a nearby hospital and was also being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
A white minivan possibly related to the shooting was stopped nearby and at least three occupants were detained, though police would not confirm that the stop was related to the shooting.
Additional information regarding the shooting was not immediately released and investigators are canvassing for evidence including surveillance video that might shed light on the incident.
