03.13.2021 | 11:24 PM | SANTA ANA – A man was hospitalized but expected to survive after being struck by gunfire near a railroad track, late Saturday night.
The shooting occurred in the 1300 block of East St. Gertrude Place, near the railroad tracks, around 11:24 PM.
Officers arriving on scene located an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his buttocks.
Firefighter paramedics treated the shooting victim on scene before transporting him to OC Global Medical Center in stable condition.
The area surrounding the railroad tracks were cordoned off with crime scene tape while officers investigated the shooting.
No suspect description or motive was immediately available.
