04.08.2021 | 8:39 PM | SANTA ANA – A man was injured after being struck by gunfire in an apparent drive-by shooting, Thursday night.
The shooting broke out near a cul-de-sac in the 1700 block of West St. Anne Place, near the intersection of West St. Gertrude Place and South Forest Avenue, around 8:39 PM.
Authorities arriving on scene locate a male victim suffering from two gunshot wounds to his torso along with spent shell casings nearby.
Firefighter paramedics rushed the man to OC Global Medical Center in stable condition.
Police say that the incident appears to be a drive-by shooting and may be gang-related but reiterated that their investigation is still ongoing.
No suspect description was immediately available.
