02.28.2025 | 10:28 PM | SANTA ANA – A man was in surgery after being shot by an unknown suspect, Friday night.
Authorities responded to reports of a shooting in the 800 block of South Parton Street around 10:28 PM.
When units arrived they found a male adult suffering from at least one gunshot wound and began rendering aid.
Medics rushed the victim to a nearby trauma center where he was reportedly in surgery as of 1:00 AM.
Police said witnesses provided conflicting reports regarding whether the suspect who opened fire was in a vehicle or on foot.
No suspect description or motive was released and police are continuing their investigation.
