Santa Ana: Man Found Shot To Death Inside Car, Another Injured Following Double Shooting

12.18.2022 | 1:46 AM | SANTA ANA – A man was found shot to death inside a vehicle parked in a 7-Eleven parking lot and a another man was found injured at a nearby hospital following a double shooting, early Sunday morning.

The shooting is believed to have occurred sometime around 1:15 to 1:20 AM but authorities were not alerted to the incident until around 1:46 AM when a caller reported a shooting victim in the 2100 block of South Main Street, near East Saint Gertrude Place.

When first responders arrived at the scene they located a male adult in the driver seat of a silver 2011 Nissan Sentra suffering from a gunshot wound and pronounced him deceased.

A second victim related to the shooting sustained injuries and was discovered in stable condition at a nearby hospital although it was unclear how he got there.

It is unknown if the mortally wounded victim drove to the 7-Eleven after being shot or if the deadly shooting occurred in the parking lot.

A homicide investigation is underway and additional information, including any suspect description or motive, was not immediately available.
