Santa Ana: Man Dies After Apparently Gang-Related Shooting

10.15.2022 | 11:30 AM | SANTA ANA – A 25-year-old man was killed in an apparently gang-related shooting early Saturday morning, police said.

The victim, identified as 25-year-old Abelino Vigueras, of Santa Ana, was found down suffering from a gunshot wound in the 700 block of South Lyon Street, near Warren Street, around 2:40 AM.

When authorities arrived they located Vigueras down with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso and began to render aid.

Medics rushed Vigueras to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

Additional details regarding the circumstances of the deadly shooting were not released but police said the murder appears to be gang-related.
