Santa Ana: Two Dead, Third Critically Injured In Murder-Suicide Attempt

05.02.2024 | 4:25 PM | SANTA ANA – A woman and her uncle were dead and the woman’s boyfriend – suspected of inflicting the fatal injuries – was clinging to life following a bloody scene inside a storage facility, Thursday evening.

Police responded to a call from a woman around 4:25 PM reporting that she and her uncle were stabbed by her boyfriend at a storage facility located in the 1200 block of East Chestnut Avenue.

When officers arrived they located all three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds within the facility. The girlfriend, identified as 25-year-old Jordan Block and her uncle, identified as identified as 64-year-old Brian Martin, both of Santa Ana, were pronounced deceased at the scene.

The boyfriend, whose identity has yet to be released, was rushed to a hospital where he remains in critical condition from a self-inflicted injury to his upper-body.

Block and her boyfriend were said to be visiting Martin at the storage unit where he resided when the altercation occurred, according to police.

In the aftermath police discovered a “ton of edged weapons” in Martin’s storage unit, though it was unclear if Martin was a collector or engaged in selling the weapons. A large bloodied spear could be seen outside the building though police could not confirm whether it was used in the attack.

Details regarding the altercation remain scant but police have dubbed the incident a “murder-suicide investigation.”
