12.18.2020 | 12:32 AM | SANTA ANA – A pickup truck overturned into a McDonald’s parking lot after colliding with a taco truck in a high-speed crash, early Friday morning.

The crash occurred near the intersection of West Warner Avenue and South Broadway Street around 12:32 AM when a red 2006 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck traveling eastbound struck a taco truck that was turning.

The Toyota continued eastbound after the crash before severing a tree and overturning into the parking lot of a McDonald’s located about a half-block away in the 2300 block of South Main Street.

Two male occupants from the pickup truck were injured and transported to an area hospital for treatment.

The driver of the taco truck declined medical treatment.

A 25-gallon propane tank aboard the taco truck ruptured as a result of the crash but firefighters mitigated any potential hazards.

The cause of the crash is under investigation but speed appears to have played a factor.
