Santa Ana: Gunfire Injures Man, Suspects Flee

07.14.2021 | 11:34 PM | SANTA ANA – A man was injured after he was approached by two men and shot in his leg, late Wednesday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a shooting with a victim down in the 600 block of East McFadden Avenue shortly after 11:30 PM.

When units arrived on scene they located an adult male with a gunshot wound to his upper leg.

Firefighter paramedics rushed the man to an area hospital while police officers scoured the area for evidence.

Initial reports indicate that two men dressed in dark clothing approached the victim shortly before gunfire erupted.

Several shell casings from a .380 caliber firearm were found nearby but the suspects were not located despite a search of the area.
