Santa Ana: Fully Engulfed Vehicle Left Abandoned After Apparent Crash

10.21.2021 | 11:29 PM | SANTA ANA – A vehicle was found engulfed in fire and abandoned after an apparent crash, late Thursday night.

Callers reported the white sedan engulfed in heavy fire near a parking lot located in the 800 block of North Van Ness Avenue, near West Civic Center Drive, around 11:30 PM.

Crews arriving on scene located the vehicle ablaze in the parking lot and quickly doused the fire.

Video from the scene shows the vehicle atop a row of curb stops, suggesting it was involved in a collision.

Police confirmed that the driver of the vehicle was not at the scene and that the vehicle was abandoned.

Additional information, including whether the vehicle had been reported stolen, was not immediately available.
