Santa Ana: Fleeing Motorcyclist Causes Rollover Crash

12.01.2024 | 11:40 PM | SANTA ANA – A fleeing motorcyclist and an innocent motorist were injured in a high-speed pursuit crash, late Sunday night.

The incident began to unfold when officers attempted to stop a speeding motorcyclist on the southbound I-5 Freeway near State College Boulevard around 11:40 PM.

The rider failed to yield to officers, fleeing at speeds of 120 MPH before rear-ending a white SUV near Fourth Street.

The force of the impact caused the SUV to overturn while the motorcycle rider was ejected into lanes.

Both parties were treated on scene and rushed to nearby hospitals with what appeared to be minor injuries.

Lanes were blocked for about 40 minutes while authorities worked to clear the scene.
