12.29.2023 | 5:12 PM | SANTA ANA – A man was freed from his vehicle by firefighters after becoming trapped in a rollover crash, Friday evening.
The collision occurred at the intersection of West MacArthur Boulevard and South Greenville Street around 5:12 PM when a black Mercedes Benz SUV collided with a grey SUV causing the grey vehicle to rollover.
The driver of the grey SUV was discovered trapped in the wreckage by first responders to worked for about 45 minutes to free the man.
Medics ultimately rushed the driver of the grey SUV to OC Global Medical Center in unknown condition.
Witnesses say other occupants of the grey SUV escaped without injury.
The female driver of the Mercedes appeared uninjured.
Video of the crash shows the grey SUV heading westbound on MacArthur Boulevard without its lights activated before turning southbound onto Greenville Street on an unprotected green light when the eastbound Mercedes strikes it.
It was unclear if drugs, alcohol, or speed might have been involved in the collision but police are continuing their investigation.
