07.14.2025 | 1:39 AM | SANTA ANA – A fire broke out inside the basement of a home but was quickly extinguished by firefighters, early Monday morning.
The blaze was reported at a home in the 700 block of South Birch Street, near Richland Street, around 1:39 AM.
When crews arrived they found a detached home with heavy smoke showing and learned that a fire had broke out in a basement.
Firefighters extinguished the fire in about 10 minutes before it could spread to the rest of the home.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
