Santa Ana: Fire Rips Through Garages, Destroys Vehicles

04.08.2026 | 3:26 AM | SANTA ANA – A fire that ripped through attached garages was stopped before it could spread to nearby homes, early Wednesday morning.

The fire was reported in the 3000 block of South Bradford Place around 3:26 AM.

When fire crews arrived on scene they found heavy smoke and fire shooting through the roof of a row of garages.

Firefighters quickly began efforts to extinguish the blaze, extinguishing the bulk of the fire in about 10 minutes.

Though several garages sustained significant damage, crews kept flames from spreading to nearby homes. At least two vehicles were destroyed in the blaze.

Authorities estimated the blaze caused $250,000 in damage to the garages and another $100,000 to the contents within.

No injuries were reported and investigators are working to determine what sparked the blaze.
