Santa Ana: Massive Fire Ravages Commercial Building

11.15.2021 | 11:17 PM | SANTA ANA – A massive fire ravaged a commercial building across from a school campus, late Monday night.

The blaze was reported across the street from Kenneth E. Mitchell School at a commercial building located in the 3000 block of Harvard Street, near Fairview Road, around 11:17 PM.

When crews arrived on scene they located a single-story commercial building with thick black smoke showing from the roof.

Firefighters worked to locate and attack the fire but the flames quickly spread within the building, eventually showing through the roof.

Due to the intensity of the fire and downed power lines, crews were forced to extinguish the blaze from the exterior of the building.

By about 1:15 AM the bulk of the fire had been extinguished but crews were expected to remain on scene into the morning.

No injuries from the fire were reported but a probe by fire investigators is underway to determine the cause of the blaze.
