Santa Ana: Fire Damages Car, Driver Escapes Without Injury

12.18.2020 | 2:15 AM | SANTA ANA – A car was damaged by a fire by the driver escaped injury, early Friday morning.

Authorities responded to the reported vehicle fire near the Carr Intermediate School on South Raitt Street near West Edinger Avenue around 2:15 AM.

Units arriving on scene located a grey 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer with heavy fire showing from the engine compartment.

Firefighters doused the flames and quickly extinguished the fire in about 5 minutes.

The driver of the vehicle was driving when the fire broke out but was able to safely exit the vehicle.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
