04.02.2023 | 2:08 AM | SANTA ANA – A driver is being sought after striking two pedestrians, one of whom died from their injuries, and fleeing the scene, early Sunday morning.
The collision was reported near the intersection of West St. Gertrude Place and South Ross Street near a home that was hosting a party around 2:08 AM.
When authorities arrived they found a male and female victim that had been struck by a vehicle.
The male victim was initially reported as being in cardiac arrest and later rushed to a hospital where they died.
The second victim, a female, was taken by ambulance to an area hospital in unknown condition although she appeared alert and conscious.
The vehicle that struck the pedestrians was described only as a SUV.
