05.23.2020 | 2:46 AM | SANTA ANA – A man was dead after crashing into a brick wall in the middle of an intersection, early Saturday morning.
Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision with fire at the intersection of West McFadden Avenue and South Ross Street around 2:46 AM.
Units arriving on scene located a white sedan that had crashed into a brick wall in the intersection and was catching fire with the driver still trapped inside.
Firefighter paramedics quickly extinguished the engine fire and began efforts to extricate the driver.
Once freed the driver was pronounced deceased on scene.
