Santa Ana: Downtown Shooting Injures Two Near Parking Structure

06.13.2021 | 2:39 AM | SANTA ANA – Two men were injured after being shot near a parking structure in downtown, early Sunday morning.

Officers on patrol were flagged down regarding a shooting that had just occurred in front of a parking structure near the intersection of West 3rd and North Sycamore streets around 2:39 AM.

The officers learned that two men had been shot in the torso by a suspect who fled the scene on foot.

Both men were treated by firefighter paramedics before being rushed to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

Witnesses say the suspected shooter was seen running southbound on Sycamore shortly after shots rang out. He remains at large.

The circumstances that led up to the double shooting remain under investigation.
