Santa Ana: Man Suspected Of Violating Court Order Arrested After Pursuit

06.06.2021 | 10:00 PM | SANTA ANA – A man suspected of violating a restraining order was arrested after leading officers on a slow-speed pursuit that lasted about an hour, Sunday night.

Officers responded to reports of a restraining order violation near the intersection of East Wakeham avenue and Oak Street around 10:00 PM.

When units arrived in the area they spotted a person matching the suspect’s description and attempted to stop him.

The suspect failed to yield and led officers on a slow-speed pursuit for about an hour, circling various neighborhoods in Santa Ana.

After spike strips were successfully deployed the pursuit came to an end near the intersection of Main Street and McFadden Avenue.

The male driver and solo occupant of the vehicle was taken into custody by officers without further incident.

An investigation into the reported court order violation is ongoing.
