03.09.2022 | 11:00 AM | SANTA ANA – A 65-year-old church volunteer was charged with sexual assault and authorities are seeking any other potential victims, officials announced Wednesday.

Terry Lyn Myers, 65, of Garden Grove, was arrested and charged Wednesday, Mar. 2 in connection with the sexual assault of a minor that occurred in the 1990s.

Myers, who authorities say has been a church volunteer since at least 1995, faces one count of felony aggravated sexual assault and was being held in the Orange County Jail in lieu of $1,000,000 bail.

From 1995 to 2013 Myers was a volunteer at the Grace Community Church, formerly known as the Nutwood Church, in Garden Grove. Beginning in 2013 Myers volunteered at the MidCities Baptist Church in Westminster.

Due to his role at the churches and access to children investigators suspect there may be additional victims that have yet to come forward.

Any potential victims or persons with information are urged to contact the Orange County Sheriff’s Department by calling (714) 647-7419.
