Santa Ana: Assault Victim Leaves Bloody Scene

08.05.2021 | 11:50 PM | SANTA ANA – An assault victim left a bloody mess at a gas station but the details regarding what led to the man’s injuries remains unclear, early Friday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of an assault victim near the intersection of East MacArthur Boulevard and South Main Street around 11:50 PM.

Units arriving on scene were initially unable to locate the victim but later learned of a man bleeding profusely at a nearby gas station.

Officers found the man behind the gas station outside an apartment complex located in the 3400 block of South Main Street.

Firefighter paramedics treated the bleeding man on scene and transported him to an area hospital in unknown condition.

A gas station clerk said the man entered her convenience store and said he had been shot, however police do not believe a shooting occurred.

Additional information regarding the incident was not immediately available.
