12.26.2021 | 11:28 PM | SANTA ANA – An armed suspect carjacked a vehicle from a gas station, late Sunday night.
The armed carjacking was reported at the 7-Eleven gas station located in the 1700 block of East Dyer Road, near the SR-55 Freeway, just before 11:30 PM.
When officers arrived on scene they learned a male and female couple had parked their grey Lexus in front of the gas station. The male driver entered the store while his female passenger remained in the vehicle.
That’s when police say at least one suspect armed with a gun entered the vehicle and ordered the passenger out before fleeing in westbound on Dyer Road.
Police are reviewing a plethora of surveillance footage from the gas station in order to confirm the details of the crime although the carjacked vehicle remained outstanding.
