Callers reported fire shooting through the roof of a single-story commercial building located in the 2400 block of South Birch Street, near Warner Avenue, around 9:25 PM.

When crews arrived they found heavy smoke and fire showing from the roof of the large 20,000 square foot building and initiated an aggressive fire attack.

Due to the size of the fire a second alarm was struck, bringing about 50 firefighters to the scene and allowing crews to quickly extinguish the blaze in about 30 minutes.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
