San Juan Capistrano: Solo Motorcycle Crash Leaves Female Rider Dead

04.10.2022 | 8:20 AM | SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO – A female motorcyclist was killed when the bike she was riding veered off a roadway and struck a rock, Sunday morning.

The deadly crash occurred on Ortega Highway just west of the Orange-Riverside county line around 8:20 AM.

When authorities arrived they learned a 34-year-old Kiana Nguyen, of Costa Mesa, was traveling eastbound on a 2015 Yamaha R3 motorcycle when, for unknown reasons, the woman’s bike veered off the roadway and struck a rock.

Medics rushed the Nguyen to Mission Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased.

It was not immediately known if drugs, alcohol, or speed were factors in the collision.
