San Diego: Mother, Child Dead After Falling From Petco Park

09.25.2021 | 4:00 PM | SAN DIEGO – A 40-year-old mother and her 2-year-old son were dead after falling from the third level of Petco Park, Saturday evening.

The pair fell to their deaths from the third level of Petco Park, located in the 200 block of Tony Gwynn Way, shortly before the start of the San Diego Padres and Atlanta Braves game.

When officers arrived on scene they found the bodies of both individuals on the sidewalk and attempted to revive them before pronouncing them deceased on scene.

Although the circumstances surrounding the deaths remain under investigation, initial reports indicate the deaths were suspicious prompting homicide detectives responded to the scene.

The fall from the third level of the park is described as being about six-stories tall.
