Rancho Mission Viejo: Motorcyclist Dead After Losing Control

12.12.2021 | 9:55 AM | RANCHO MISSION VIEJO – A 72-year-old man was dead after losing control of the motorcycle he was riding, Sunday morning.

The incident was reported on the eastbound lanes of the SR-74 (Ortega Highway) near Caspers Park shortly before 10:00 AM.

Units arriving on scene located a 2016 Triumph motorcycle that had overturned before partially ejecting its rider.

The rider, a 72-year-old resident of San Clemente, was assessed on scene by firefighter paramedics before being pronounced deceased.

It was not immediately known if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the incident.
