03.14.2022 | 9:02 AM | PLACENTIA – An assistant principal at a middle school shot and killed himself inside a staff bathroom, Monday morning.
Assistant Principal Moises Plascencia apparently shot and killed himself inside a staff bathroom at Kramer Middle School, located in the 600 block of North Angelina Drive, around 9:00 AM.
Plascencia was reportedly found unresponsive, with a gun still in his hand, and pronounced deceased on scene.
The school day was cancelled and children returned home as a result of the suicide but classes were expected to resume on Tuesday.
Mental-health professionals were being made available on campus for students, staff, and family members, the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District said.
Principal Michael Young expressed his sorrow saying, “while we may never make sense of nor understand why this occurred, please know how deeply Mr. Plascencia cared for your students, their education, and all of Kraemer Middle School.”
