Orange: Theo Lacy Inmate Dies Prompting Investigation

09.02.2022 | 5:30 PM | ORANGE – An investigation is underway after an inmate being housed at the Theo Lacy Facility died, authorities announced Friday.

The 57-year-old man, who has not been publicly identified, died at a hospital on Thursday after being found unresponsive in his jail cell.

The man had been booked into the jail facility following an August 27, 2022 arrest by the Anaheim Police Department for a probation violation.

There was no word on what may have led to the man’s death but an in-custody death review is underway.
