Orange: One Dead Following Crash Into Home After Fight

06.13.2026 | 10:37 PM | ORANGE – A man was killed after a fight ended with a suspect intentionally striking him with a car that also crashed into an apartment building, late Saturday night.

Callers reported a fight in the 600 block of South Fashion Park Street around 10:28 PM.

About 9 minutes later additional callers reported that a grey Toyota Camry had collided with a pedestrian and became lodged in an apartment building at the same location.

Officers arriving on scene found one victim, a male adult whose identity has yet to be released, with severe injuries. He was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

The driver of the Toyota, later identified as 28-year-old Abrahan Perez, of Orange, was found reportedly stabbing himself in his neck before being subdued by police. Medics also transported Perez to a hospital with what were described as “superficial” injuries.

Investigation revealed that Perez intentionally struck the pedestrian victim with his vehicle and he was later arrested on homicide-realted charges following treatment at a hospital.

The collision resulted in damage to two apartment units which displaced 8 adults and 5 children.

Additional information regarding the circumstances leading up to the deadly collision remain under investigation.
