Orange: Fire Rips Through Vacant Structure

01.07.2022 | 10:57 PM | ORANGE – A fire that ripped through a vacant building was extinguished in under an hour, late Friday night.

The fire was spotted in the 500 block of South Tustin Street by firefighters on their way to a hospital for follow-up shortly before 11:00 PM.

Additional firefighters rushed to the scene and quickly mounted an attack on the apparently abandoned residence.

The bulk of the flames were extinguished in about 45 minutes although smoke from the building continued to pour out.

Downed power lines were located on the side of the building and cordoned off the firefighters.

No injuries were reported and a fire investigator is on scene working to determine the cause of the blaze.
