07.24.2026 | 9:06 PM | ORANGE – A man had to be cut from his Chevrolet Corvette after crashing in front of a police station, Friday night.
The collision involving the red Corvette was reported at the intersection of North Batavia Street and West Struck Avenue in front of the Orange Police Department’s station around 9:06 PM, according to fire department radio traffic.
When crews arrived they found the Corvette with major damage and a solo occupant trapped inside, radio reports and video from the scene indicated.
Firefighters used heavy rescue tools to free the trapped driver before rushing him to a nearby hospital in unknown condition, video showed.
A crime scene was established in the area of the collision and at least one person who refused to provide their name stated that the Corvette was racing another vehicle at the time of the collision.
