05.21.2026 | 12:00 AM | ORANGE – Hundreds of Chapman University students descended on Old Towne in their underwear to celebrate the end of finals, early Thursday morning.
The annual ‘Undie Run’ began on the Chapman University campus as hundreds of students gathered in their underwear or other revealing clothing to mark the end of finals and upcoming graduations.
Around midnight the crowd of several hundred participants departed the campus, headed towards Plaza Square in the Old Towne orange area.
The group played music and celebrated upon arrival at the traffic circle.
Some revelers entered into the fenced off portion of Plaza Square Park, which features the historic Plaza Fountain.
The participants in the restricted area were warded off by police before continuing on.
The festivities lasted for about 40 minutes before most students had returned to campus.
No arrests or injuries were reported by the time the run ended.
