11.06.2020 | 11:57 PM | NORWALK – One man suffered major injuries after his disabled vehicle was rear-ended on a busy freeway, late Friday night.
Callers reported a blue Nissan sedan stopped in southbound lanes of the I-5 Freeway at Imperial Highway shortly before midnight.
Shortly after additional callers reported that the Nissan had been struck by silver Toyota sedan and that both vehicles were blocking multiple lanes.
Officers arriving on scene located the two-car crash and found an elderly male unresponsive inside the Nissan sedan.
Firefighter paramedics transported the male driver to an area hospital with major injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch log.
The female driver of the Toyota suffered only minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
Several lanes were blocked while officers investigated the circumstances surrounding the crash.
