01.27.2026 | 9:06 PM | NORWALK – A motorcyclist collided with a fire engine that was responding with lights and siren in a collision that was captured on video by a surveillance camera, Tuesday night.
The collision occurred as a Los Angeles County Fire Department engine was traveling with its lights and siren activated near the intersection of Imperial Highway and Jersey Avenue.
Video from a surveillance camera shows the motorcycle attempt to pass the fire engine causing a sideswipe collision that caused the rider to lose control and skid.
Medics treated the rider on scene before transporting them to an area hospital in unknown condition.
It was unclear what call the fire engine was responding to at the time of the collision.
