Newport Beach: One Injured In Suspected Road Rage Shooting

02.28.2024 | 12:22 AM | NEWPORT BEACH – One person was injured when a person opened fire on a Tesla in an apparent road rage incident, early Wednesday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a shooting victim at the Shell Service Station, located in the 1600 block of Jamboree Road, around 12:22 AM.

When authorities arrived they located at least one person suffering from a reported gunshot wound along with a Tesla that was damaged by apparent gunfire.

Medics treated one victim at the scene before rushing them to a nearby hospital where they were in unknown condition.

Preliminary reports from the scene suggest the incident stemmed from road rage between the Tesla and another vehicle.

Further information was not immediately available and no arrests were reported.
