07.13.2019 | 10:54 PM | NEWPORT BEACH – A bicyclist was hospitalized after being struck by a hit-and-run driver, Saturday night.
Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a bicyclist on West Coast Highway just west of Dover Drive around 10:54 PM.
Units arriving on scene found a bicyclist down in the roadway and learned that the driver of the vehicle that struck the bicyclist had fled the scene.
Firefighter paramedics treated the injured bicyclist on scene before transporting him to an area hospital in unknown condition.
Officers were interviewing witnesses and searching for the hit and run driver.
