Newport Beach: Fire Scorches Home

07.04.2023 | 10:29 PM | NEWPORT BEACH – Firefighters quickly extinguished a fire that scorched one home and threatened another, Tuesday night.

The fire broke out at a home in the 1200 block of Polaris Drive, near Galaxy Drive, in a posh neighborhood around 10:29 PM.

When crews arrived they found heavy smoke and fire showing from the home with flames threatening an adjacent residence.

Firefighters doused the blaze, extinguishing it in about 15 minutes and preventing flames from spreading.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation though illegal fireworks were being launched in the area prior to the fire igniting.
