Newport Beach: Crash Kills Three, Injures Several Construction Workers

05.12.2022 | 10:00 AM | NEWPORT BEACH – Three people were killed and three construction workers were injured in a late-night crash, police announced Thursday.

The single-vehicle crash was reported in the 3000 block of Pacific Coast Highway around 12:45 AM when a vehicle that was traveling eastbound struck a curb and collided with a construction site.

Three people in the car were killed in the crash and three construction workers were injured.

All three construction workers were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Their injuries were described a minor and non-life-threatening.

There was no word on the identities of the deceased or the vehicle they were riding in.

All lanes of Pacific Coast Highway are closed between Superior and Riverside avenues while police investigate the circumstances surrounding the deadly crash.
