Long Beach: President Biden & Governor Newsom Arrive In Air Force One Ahead of Recall Election

09.13.2021 | 6:12 PM | LONG BEACH – President Joe Biden and California Governor Gavin Newsom arrived in Long Beach aboard Air Force One to campaign against the gubernatorial recall election, Monday evening.

Both President Biden and California Governor Newsom landed in Air Force One at Long Beach Airport around 6:12 PM before quickly leaving to a rally held at Long Beach City College.

The rally to “stop the republican recall” drew approximately 1,100 attendees and included a number of elected officials and local leaders.

During a speech that lasted about 15 minutes President Biden called for voters to vote no on the gubernatorial recall.

“Voting no will be protecting California from Trump,” Biden said before adding, “You either keep Gavin Newsom as your governor or you get Donald Trump.”

Several other speakers echoed Biden’s remarks, calling for voters to vote no on the recall.
