Lake Forest: Dangerous Pursuit Ends With Crash, Two Suspects Arrested

04.07.2024 | 1:30 AM | LAKE FOREST – Two juveniles were arrested after leading authorities on a dangerous high-speed pursuit, early Sunday morning.

The pursuit began in the south Los Angeles area when police tried to stop a grey Hyundai that was reported stolen sometime around 1:30 AM.

The driver of the vehicle fled from officers leading authorities on a pursuit that traveled south on the I-405 Freeway at speeds over 100 MPH.

The pursuit traversed Irvine before eventually coming to an end near the southbound SR-241 and Alton Parkway when the Hyundai careened down an embankment.

At least two occupants from the vehicle fled on foot and were arrested with the assistance of a police helicopter, drone, and K-9.

One of the occupants was treated for injuries related to being located by a police K-9 and was transported to a local hospital.
