Irvine: Two Suspects Detained After Armed PlayStation Robbery

01.26.2022 | 9:40 PM | IRVINE – Two suspects were detained after reportedly using a firearm to rob a Target customer of a newly purchased PlayStation 5, Wednesday night.

The robbery was reported outside a Target located in the 13200 block of Jamboree Road around 9:40 PM, according to a radio broadcast.

Two suspects, one of which was armed with a black pistol, reportedly made off with a PlayStation 5 in a Lexus sedan that was subsequently followed by a police officer, the broadcast added.

Police later stopped the vehicle and apprehended both occupants on the northbound SR-57 Freeway near Imperial Highway less than 15 minutes later.

The identity of the suspects and what charges they might face was not immediately available.
